Verifying eConnect Version When Developing eConnect Integration
When developing eConnect integration it is important to match the development environment eConnect version with the production environment.
To check the eConnect version, go to Start → Programs → Microsoft Dynamics → eConnect → eConnect Release Information.
eConnect Release Information executes the following stored procedure in the background to retrieve the eConnect business objects (stored procedures) version:
EXEC DYNAMICS..taeConnectVersionInfoDYNAMICS
In addition, the eConnect .NET DLL files version must also be matched. To check the .DLL file version, right click file .DLL file, click Properties, and then click Version tab.
In Dynamics GP 9.0 these DLL files can be found in the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Great Plains\eConnect9\Objects\Dot Net
In Dynamics GP 10.0 these DLL files can be found in the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\eConnect 10\Objects\Dot Net\
