Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 Service Pack 5 for English Installation is Available
As of 8/20/2010, the Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 Service Pack 5 for English Installation is available.
PLEASE see the important notes below regarding changes in service packs for Dynamics GP 10.0.
**IMPORTANT NOTES**
1. Starting with Service Pack 5, all patch releases for Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 will be released as an .EXE file. This is due to a required pre-requisite that needs to be installed - Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Runtime Library. Both the VC2005Redist.msi and the .MSP service pack file will be bundled into the service pack .exe file. This new pre-requisite does not apply to Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0 and Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010. This only applies to Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0. All service packs, hotfixes and compliance updates for Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0 and Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 will remain as .MSP files. Please check the following link for additional information.
2. Once service pack 5 is installed, there is NO update path to GP 2010 until the release of service pack 1 for GP 2010.
3. The .EXE file cannot be published using the Client Updates feature in Microsoft Dynamics GP. For information on how to use mass deployment for service pack 5, please refer to the Deployment section of the FAQ below.
