For Sage ERP MAS 500 customers preparing 1099s for 2010, standalone 1099 Updates for versions 7.20 and 7.30 are now available on Sage Online.  Please note the following compatibility requirements:

7.30 Minimum Requirement:
Sage ERP MAS 500 7.30 February 2010 Product Update (7.30.2) or later must be installed before the year 2010 stand-alone 1099 update can be installed. In addition, verify that year 2009 1099 updates are already installed (1099 updates are not cumulative).

7.20 Minimum Requirement:
Sage ERP MAS 500 7.20 February 2010 Product Update (7.20.19) or later must be installed before year 2010 stand-alone 1099 update can be installed. In addition, verify that year 2009 1099 updates are already installed (1099 updates are not cumulative).

To download the February 2010 Product Update (or later) for versions 7.20 and 7.30, perform the following:

  1. Log on to Sage Online.
  2. Click the Support tab.
  3. Click the Sage MAS 500 link.
  4. Scroll to the Downloads section and click the Service Packs and Updates link.
  5. In the drop-down list, click Product Download. The Sage MAS 500 Product and Download page should open for version 7.30.
    • If version 7.20 is installed, click the Version 7.20 link.
  6. Download, test, and apply the February 2010 Product Update (or later).
  7. Then download and apply the v 7.2 or 7.3 Sage MAS 500 standalone 1099 Update according to instructions.

Note: If you are unable to apply the required product updates due to customizations or other factors, please contact your local NexTec associate or third-party provider to avoid overwriting customizations and to ensure version compatibility.
