After thirty years with the company, NexTec Group CEO and Co-Founder Eric Frank has announced his plans to retire, effective June 10, 2026.
“Under Eric’s leadership, NexTec has grown to become one of the largest and most experienced Acumatica and Sage X3 ERP consulting firms in North America. He has built a thriving business and a world-class team of ERP experts focused on customer success. We are proud to provide a permanent home for NexTec as part of the Pine Services Group, where Eric’s legacy of integrity and operational excellence will live on. We congratulate Eric on his well-deserved retirement and wish him well in this next chapter,” said Jana Schmidt, CEO at Pine Services Group.
NexTec is currently in the process of communicating the transition to its network of ERP partners. In the coming weeks, the company will issue a press release announcing Eric’s successor as CEO and further details of the transition plan.
Below, Eric reflects on his retirement, the future of NexTec, and why now is the right time to turn the page.
The Work Continues: An Open Letter from Eric Frank
Having recently marked my 30th anniversary with the company, I’ve spent time reflecting on what we’ve built together as a team. I am deeply appreciative of the people, the culture, and the shared commitment that have defined NexTec from the beginning.
Our focus on the success of our clients and our team has always been our foundation—and it’s what has made NexTec so special.

Eric Frank, CEO and the NexTec Group team receive the 2026 Acumatica Customer Success Excellence Award at Summit. This award recognizes the partner who demonstrates dedication and commitment to outstanding customer success year over year.
As we move through this transition, our priority will be to maintain the continuity, stability, and values that have long been hallmarks of NexTec’s success.
“NexTec continues to flourish and grow as part of the Pine family, and I’m confident that the company has found a good home to continue its mission of serving our ERP clients.”
While I’m looking forward to a busy and exciting retirement, travelling and spending time with my wife and daughter, NexTec will always be a part of me.
I will miss meeting with customers and walking the shop floor with them to understand their business. Some of our clients have been with us for decades, and I can’t thank them enough for the trust they have placed in us over the long haul.
And of course, I will miss my day-to-day interactions with the team.
Our employees are the backbone of the culture, and many of our people have been with us a good while – 59% of our team has been here over six years, and 27% for over a decade. At this point, it’s safe to say that many have become not just friends, but old friends.
It’s one of the things I, and co-founders Russ and Alan, are happiest about—that we managed to build a company where people stick around long-term because they love it here and are given opportunities to grow along with the business. As a leader, it’s the best legacy I could ever wish for, and I know NexTec’s culture and core values will be maintained and live on long after I’ve left.
I remain incredibly proud of the NexTec team and what we’ve accomplished. I will continue to be the company’s biggest supporter.
Onwards and upwards!

Eric Frank
