Below, we highlight the key updates in the new release of Sage X3 to help our clients leverage this cutting-edge ERP solution for their business success. Key Features and Enhancements in Sage X3 2025 R2 

AI Integration 

  • Sage Copilot Chat is now active and available, allowing users to ask sales related questions by leveraging the Sales Intelligence Agent. 
  • You can activate or deactivate the Sage Copilot Chat features at the solution or folder endpoint level. 

Security and System Compatibility 

  • MongoDB 8, offering tighter security, is now mandatory and will be included in the upgrade process 
  • Email uniqueness is now enforced for active users 
  • Updated prerequisites for Runtime and Print Server components (PowerShell, MS Visual C++, MS command line utilities) 

Mobile Automation 

  • Pick confirmation by lot/serial/location has been added to the Pick ticket transaction. 
  • Purchase Orders can now be received via the purchase shipment number. 

Web Scheduling 

  • The Web Scheduling solution has been updated to release 2024.2.1 which utilizes a dedicated connector via GraphQL API.  

Stock Period Control 

  • When closing a stock period or fiscal year, you can initiate a control that checks whether issue price adjustments are not yet posted and blocks the closing process accordingly. 
  • This is managed with the STOCLOPER parameter: 
    • Blocking by period – A blocking warning message is displayed and the period is not closed. A log is generated indicating the product-site containing records that were not processed. 
    • Blocking by FY – A blocking warning message is displayed and the fiscal year is not closed. A log is generated indicating the product-site containing records that were not processed. 
    • Non-blocking – No check is performed and the period is closed. 

Finance 

  • Rounding issues in the Payment function have been resolved. Additionally, warning messages have been added when the bank currency is different from the payment currency. 
  • Fixed Assets importing has been enhanced by adding fields and controls to the standard PHY import template. 
  • E-Invoicing data syncs have been improved by adding several options. 

Development 

  • You can now protect custom queries built via the Query tool, Graphical Query tool, or SQL query tool with an Activity Code. 
  • You can personalize data types using the Data types personalization function allowing configuration of several properties, including length, format, and options. 
  • Screen ins Sage X3 can now support up to 500 unique fields (increased from 300) allowing clients to further customize key functions. 
  • The following Mobile Automation functions were refactored to allow for greater customization via Sage X3 builder: 
    • Miscellaneous Issue by Identifier 
    • Intersite transfer 
    • Stock change by LPN
